CM Weekly Devotional 12/14/2016

Matthew 13:31-32: Another parable He put forth to them, saying: "The Kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and sowed in his field, which indeed is the least of all the seeds; but when it is grown it is greater than the herbs and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and nest in its branches."

Have you ever seen an image of a mustard seed?  It's a small seed that grows in to something insurmountable and purposeful.  The Kingdom of God lives within us, and we are His mustard seed.

In life God sends us to be disciples to serve people in the world and to draw us closer to  Him.  However, when we are planting seeds, His Word, it can be very delicate, so we have to watch how we plant it--nothing is  impossible.  That seed that is planted needs a lot of nourishment: water, sunlight, and soil just like we as a people (CMs) need guidance, love, support, prayer, friendship, and encouragement.  It's all about planting a mustard seed of greatness and meekness.

Know that God planted you in your mother's womb, and now look at what God brought you too.  What is your mustard seed toward your family and the direction you want your family to grow?

This week's CEO-Mothers action: what do you think your purpose is that God has planted in you in order to be His mustard seed to the world?
